About owls
Above is a Barn Owl, who, along with most other owls, hunt in the dark. Most owls are nocturnal. The Hawk Owl and Snowy Owl hunt in the day time. Owls have faces like satellite dishes, so they can pick up noises from a far distance. They could probably hear tonight's baseball game. An owl's eyes are locked in the middle of their eye sockets, so they can't look up and down like we can, but they have made adaptations. They can swivel their head at least 180 degrees around. The Great Horned Owl can swivel it's head 270 degrees around. Even though I am just a kid, I know a lot about owls.
